Hyori's Story Part II - Hyori's Boyfriend

Hyori first met him during the Calvin Klein photo shoot. She has never heard or seen of him. Only thing she knows about him was that he was from United States and little older than she was – according to her manager. However, Hyori found him extremely pleasant to look at and made her at ease. She could tell that he had a chiseled look. His muscles were well defined. He had big eyes for a Korean. It was like looking into a mirror when she looked at him during the photo shoot. Because he was little older than Hyori, she just called him Oppa. Apparently, he liked hearing that. He gave Hyori a sheepish grin whenever she called him Oppa. Hyori felt like there was an aurora encompassing them whenever they were together shooting photos. Hyori had many male partners during the fashion shoots, but this was the first time that anybody made her felt so at ease. He did not say much but seems like his eyes were doing the talking. The way he leads during the poses, the way he makes the awkward positions so easy, the way he looks at Hyori on close-ups; it was enough to love him at first sight.

Hyori was very curious about Oppa. He did not talk much since he could speak Korean skoish. But not having many conversations with him made her wanted to find out more about him. To Hyori, he seemed mystic, and kept drawing more attention from her.

“Oppa. Why are you so quite?” Asked inquisitive Hyori.

“I am? I didn’t notice that about myself. Am I boring you?”

Even though the breaks between photo shoots were short, it gave enough time for Hyori to ask few questions. Oppa answered with a sweet smile. Nobody, including his manager, knew much about him. Perhaps, as she gets closer to him, then she can ask more personal questions. The photo shoot was long and tiring. But to Hyori, it was more than a photo shoot. More like a calming massage therapy where anywhere he touched, she felt the “electricity” from him.

“Thank you everyone!” Photographer shouted.

Both Hyori and Oppa went to their dressing room to change. It was about 8 p.m. when the photo shoot ended. Hyori wondered what to do next. Her schedule for the evening was empty. She wondered if she was bold enough to ask Oppa out for a drink. She never asked a guy out for a drink, let alone some who she met for the first time. Even though he was in the dressing room next door, Hyori wished that there was no wall between their dressing rooms. Perhaps, her manager can ask Oppa on her behalf. Suddenly, Hyori heard someone knocking on the door.

“Yes!”

“Hyori, its Oppa. May I come in?”

Hyori wondered why he wanted to see her. Why ask “why?” when the guy she likes wants to come in?

“Please come on in.” Replied Hyori nervously.

He looked even better now then during the photo shoot. He wore a tight white t-shirt. The outlines of his muscles were well showing through his t-shirt. He wore Ralph Lauren blue jean with brown Calvin Klein belt. Interesting combination of brands, Hyori thought.

Oppa is a Korean general term for a male who is older than the female.
